Projects & Research

These are the things that I have been working that interest me. Feel free to click on each one to learn more about each project. More to come soon!

Tubercle-Modified NACA 0012

A 3D RANS study of the effects of leading-edge tubercles on airfoil performance. Exploring the tubercle effect computationally using ANSYS Fluent and the Langtry-Menter Transition SST turbulence model.

DBD Plasma Actuator

A novel method of flow control using the dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) effect. This is an active project where I am building the entire methodology from scratch, including the wind tunnel.

PINNpoint

Bored out of my mind at a Penn machine learning summer course, I built a physics informed neural net and tested 3 failure hypotheses on PDE prediction networks.

XFOIL Surrogate

A neural network trained on XFOIL data. It uses only a few select airfoils and can effectively predict the lift coefficient with a low error rate.

Project Evolve

A lattice-boltzmann fluid demonstration where blobs evolve according to a predetermined selection factor.
